Une réunion de travail a été tenue ce dimanche 28 juin 2020 au siège de l’INRAA, regroupant quatre institutions : l’institut national de la recherche agronomique d’Algérie (INRAA), l’institut technique des élevages (ITELV), l’institut technique de développement de l’agronomie saharienne (ITDAS) et le centre national de l’insémination artificielle et de l’amélioration génétique (CNIAAG). Cette rencontre ayant pour objectif la préparation de l’atelier de lancement du projet portant sur la mise en œuvre du protocole d’accord FAO-UMA relatif à la collecte des données pour le Système d’Information sur la Diversité des Animaux Domestiques (DAD-IS) géré et développé par la FAO. 

Ont pris part à ladite réunion, du côté de l’INRAA, le Directeur et son Directeur Adjoint, Mme Tazka, directrice de la division production animale et Monsieur Fantazi, chef d’équipes des ressources génétiques animales et les Directeurs Généraux de l’ITELV et de l’ITDAS et la représentante du Directeur Général du CNIAAG.
Le DAD-IS est un système permettant l’accès à des bases de données consultables contenant des informations sur les races d’animaux. 
Un certain nombre d’actions ont été discutées et retenues dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre du protocole d’accord, qui vont être proposées lors de l’atelier de lancement du projet
